The 25 teams were split into 5 groups for the round-robin games. We were fortunate that Marshfield 1 (Gillian Weston, Ian Weston &amp; Mike Phillips) were not drawn to play Marshfield 2 (Andy Neal, Richie Newman &amp; Marcus Gill) in the round-robin matches, but both did superbly well, as Marshfield 1 achieved one of the top two group scores to play for the Cup, with Marshfield 2 through to play for the plate. Disappointingly Marshfield 1 came up against the very strong Llansamlet1 team in the cup quarter final, and although it was a tight game, they didn\u2019t proceed further. The team were extremely pleased with what they had achieved, beating several excellent teams along the way. Marshfield 2 continued with their success in the early rounds and two excellent wins saw them through to the plate final. Some magnificent play saw them overwhelm Colebrook 1, winning it 10-1. A well-deserved win against strong competition. Well done to everyone who between them achieved the best results by far for Marshfield in this event. The 25 teams were split into 5 groups for the round-robin games. We were fortunate that Marshfield 1 (Gillian Weston, Ian Weston &amp; Mike Phillips) were not drawn to play Marshfield 2 (Andy Neal, Richie Newman &amp; Marcus Gill) in the round-robin matches, but both did superbly well, as Marshfield 1 achieved one of the top two group scores to play for the Cup, with Marshfield 2 through to play for the plate. Disappointingly Marshfield 1 came up against the very strong Llansamlet1 team in the cup quarter final, and although it was a tight game, they didn\u2019t proceed further. The team were extremely pleased with what they had achieved, beating several excellent teams along the way. Marshfield 2 continued with their success in the early rounds and two excellent wins saw them through to the plate final. Some magnificent play saw them overwhelm Colebrook 1, winning it 10-1. A well-deserved win against strong competition. Well done to everyone who between them achieved the best results by far for Marshfield in this event.
